From private ceremonies to wedding parties, Zealandia is perfectly placed to host your dream ceremony while making a valuable contribution to conservation work in Wellington.

The Heritage Lawn, featuring the iconic valve tower, historic boatshed and our beautiful forest-fringed lake, provides the perfect backdrop for wedding parties of up to 200 people. Alternatively, the Round Lawn offers a more secluded and intimate setting for ceremonies of up to 40 people, surrounded by stunning native bush. We also have an atmospheric indoor venue available should the weather be inhospitable on the day.

Inspired by the seasonal menu at our onsite Rātā café, locally and sustainably sourced refreshments can be served after your ceremony as you venture into the valley for some idyllic wedding photos.
