Here you'll find everything you need to know about visiting Zealandia under the new COVID-19 Protection Framework (Traffic Light System).

COVID-19 Vaccination Passes

  • Visitors to Zealandia Te Mārā a Tāne will be required to present COVID-19 Vaccination Passes prior to entry.

The requirement will be effective from December 3rd 2021, when New Zealand implements the COVID-19 Protection Framework. Children under 12-years and 3-months will not be required to present a COVID Vaccination Certificate. When visiting Zealandia you will be welcomed by a staff member who will check your pass.

  • Adopting the COVID Protection Framework allows us to keep our doors open, even during red and orange restrictions, which means we can continue our conservation mahi and sharing Zealandia’s hauora with our community.

Our number one priority is the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, and visitors. Zealandia sets high standards based on the latest research and the protection of native species and we reflect these standards in the protection of our people.

You will be able to visit Zealandia knowing it is a safe space for you and your whānau to experience and enjoy.

"Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini.”
Success is not the work of an individual, but the work of many.

Why do we have to get a vaccine?

Getting vaccinated means that you are far less likely to get really sick and have to go to hospital if you catch COVID-19. You are also less likely to pass COVID-19 on to other people.
