'Bountiful Ngahere’ is a visual ode to the vibrant flowers, fruits, and birds that adorn the ngahere: the forests of Te Māra a Tāne–Zealandia Ecosanctuary and the surrounding wilderness areas of Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington.

Twenty-five years after Zealandia’s world-first fence was built, we’re starting a careful refurbishment to ensure it continues protecting the flourishing wildlife inside and beyond the sanctuary. At our next Conservation Kōrero, Infrastructure Manager Nigel Clarke will share how we’re planning for the future while safeguarding our precious taonga species.
