Te taiao (nature) in Aotearoa New Zealand is rich and vibrant, from tiny insects to towering trees. Zealandia is on a mission to restore and celebrate Wellington's native taonga (treasures), and Annemieke’s art brings that vision to life.

Originally from Whangārei, Annemieke has always been inspired by nature. Through watercolour and linework, she captures the beauty of native species, both big and small. A conservationist by day, she uses her art to spark curiosity about the wildlife she works to protect—now extending to nature-themed board games.
